Hi Folks,
I have a 2003 Mercury Bigfoot. 40 HP EFI, S/N 0T661544, and I can't get it started. Last fall, I had the thermostat replaced after it overheated. Motor ran fine, and was winterized shortly thereafter. Tried to start it this past w/e, and no go. Flushed all the fuel lines up to the injectors, and discovered that the injectors were not opening. Checked for spark, and there is none. Check for voltage at the injectors, and nothing. Motor cranks fine, battery is strong, no fuses are blown, tho' the fuse block is a little corroded. Seems odd that I get no spark, and no voltage at the injectors. If the injectors were clogged, i would expect to see at least a few dribbles, correct? It acts as if the kill switch is shorted, but I beeped (just at the control cable end) that out and it's fine...
Any thoughts?
