2002 Nissan 50 hp D

Background: repowered with 2002 Nissan 50D. Motor starts fine and idles fine but dies when it's placed in gear (F or R). I've been using the motor trottle to bring up the rpm's and then place the engine in gear as a work around. Once in gear while running the motor runs great but will die at a very slow spead. Do I need to increase the idle? Also, what service manual should I order. I think this is the NS 50D2.

Could well be the idle is a bit low. Check your adjustments for link-and-sync and idle in the Factory service manual, available at any Tohatsu/Nissan dealer.
