Does anybody have any experience with this engine? Im curious if it is a reliable motor or not. The only negatives that Ive read so far is that they smoke a little on startup and drink the gas. Im not too worried about those things. Im looking at a boat that has twins. I really like the boat, but the engines are my only reservation. Also considering another boat that has Yamaha 150 0X66 Saltwater twins. Everybody says the Yamaha's are superior, and I dont disagree - but I like the boat with the Merc's more.
Can anybody speak to their opinions/experiences with either of these two motors?
