2001 Evinrude 10hp 4 stroke new fuel primer

My old primer (0427327) had 1 port with hose to top of carb. The new one (5007356 replaces the old one) has 2 ports. Do I just seal off the other port?

Those primer valves are very reliable / simple.-----Why did you replace it ?----Yes you block off the one port or swap the cover over.

First I checked the ohms and was only getting 1.5. Then I put power to it and I'm not getting the click sound

No fuel was coming out of the wee hose either when cranking with the key pushed in.

Yes. And fuel is coming out now. I just wasn’t sure if I had to run another hose to like a T before going into carb or just block it off. Blocking it off worked great. Thanks!
