This motor is set up as a kicker motor with controls at my helm. It never wants to start when cold. There is no choke rod on the cowling.
When I push in the key and crank it, nothing moves under the cowling. There appears to be a choke connection but no rod connected to it.
I've had this thing in with at least 5 mechanics since 2000 and nobody has ever mentioned that a choke rod/cable was not connected to it.
What gives. If I have a friend manually move it about half way with the cowling off it starts right up. Is there a rod/connection kit available?
