Hi everyone, I am new here. I have a 2000 Johnson 60hp outboard (model J60PLSID) that I purchased last year.
The motor starts fine, runs fine, idles fine, WOT fine, but when I shift it out of neutral and operate it at the lowest speed possible it idles rough, shakes and surges every once in awhile. Shift it back into neutral and it idles back up fine.
I have used the Star Tron fuel treatment in my fuel since I bought it. I've never changed fuel filter or anything else for that matter except the spark plugs.
Any ideas? Thanks.
