1998 Mariner 25HP 4 stroke bigfoot propeller selection help

I called Marine engine and a girl gave me a Solas 5211-099-11 part number. I did some checking and this propeller is 10 spline. I need a 13 spline. The engine serial number is 0G621126. According to the parts diagram on ME a 48-85632A45 is the recommended prop. I did some checking and it not supposed to fit a 1998. Just 99-05. The prop that came off the part # is 48-85632-11. 13 spline. The outside diameter of the prop that came off is 3 1/8" so thats got to be a 3 1/4 diameter gearcase. Is going on a pontoon boat if that helps. I figure this is the best place to get help. Most of you guys have been there, done that. Could this 98 be a year end run and the gearcase fall under a 99? Appreciate any help.

Thanks. I was getting ready to buy it and ME says its for Johnson/Evinrude BRP (small gearcase). Just wanted to make sure. Also will the extra diameter from stock put the blades too close to the anti-ventilation plate?

Also it says this prop is for a 3 3/8 gearcase. Mine is a 3 1/4
