1996 Evinrude question

I have a 1996 28HP Evinrude on a boat that I purchased, and I am unsure whether the motor has a charging system for my battery.
The Model number is E28ESLEDR. The lookup chart from Evinrude shows that the 4th and 5th digits signify ES=Electric Start - Special. Does this have anything to do with a charging system?
Any help would be appreciated.

Picture of starboard side of the block would identify it in seconds.-----Is there a rectifier / terminal strip.-----Any yellow wires going to that strip ?
