1996 evinrude 90 v4

im looking at buying a 1996 ranger 320v is this a good boat? it has a evinrude 90 horse v4 mounted to it he claims to have just had it serviced last month and had some stuff on the boat fixxed ( trim tilt motor, live well pumps and batterys) he wants 3500 is this a good price and are these motors any good? any info is appreciated!

Model # of the motor ?----There are 2 different models of a 90 HP V-4.----Don't hand over any beer tokens without a lake test or compression test.

I don't actually have the model number for the motor and the guy hasnet responded yet, Is one worse than the other?
