I have been a long time user of this incredible forum to troubleshoot every issue over the last many years on my 1996 Evinrude 150 OceanPro (Looper). I am getting ready to pop the heads off, I have new o-rings, but was curious is there a recommended "sealer" to use around the water passages? As every resource I can find this is just a metal-on-metal head with o-rings around the cylinders. I know RTV is out. So if anyone has a recommendation, please let me know.
Also, torque specs. Any insight there would be killer too!
P.s. Popping the heads as I'm getting a steam stream from the pisser. So I'm almost 90% sure that one of the O-rings has blown.
