1993 150 Johnson Fast strike - small holes on lower unit

While removing the lower unit to replace the water pump I broke a little holes and I am not sure what it is or what it does. Can someone please help me?

Try hose part # 121829 sold in bulk. Cut to length. Let us know if this works ??
