1992 Mariner 75 hp killing

New to post. New to motor and doing repairs. Motor is on 20 ft pontoon. Motor dies/ kills after 2 hours run time on lake. Won’t start. Wait 15-20 minutes then starts. Had it in shop twice. Shop believes fuel side issue. Replaced tank, fuel line, rebuilt fuel pump, replaced fuel filter, cleaned rebuilt all three carbs. Still issue. Speaking to friends believe electrical side not fuel side. One told me to replace coils. Ideas?

Does it die while you're running, or just won't restart (or is hard to restart) after you've shut it down normally? If the former, describe how it behaves when it dies: does it simply shut off like you've pulled the key, or does it run poorly before stalling?

Check stator

Have a shop that knows what they are doing check the stator and coils with a DVA meter. So far you're guessing.

I'm thinking ignition problems, not fuel--by the way.
