1991 Evinrude 9.9 carb swap

I have a 9.9 Evinrude carb from a 74 or 75 model year (had breaker point ignition). Is that a direct replacement for the carb on a 91 Evinrude 9.9 in all respects such as choke position, the choke "guide" L shaped piece on top of the carb, cam roller mounting position, use the same cam roller, etc.? The 91 is the style with the plastic top and bottom. A buddy has the 91 model and has a broken top plastic cover. Thanks for sharing your experience.
