I recently bought this boat and the oil reservoir/mixer was in bad shape and not working. After reading up on this issue the more common response was to take it out and premix the fuel, as dependability seemed to be an issue.
I did that by simply disconnecting it and removing the tank from the boat, and it has worked fine, but when the engine gets warmed up the alarm goes off.
Is there something else I should do to prevent the sensors from reading low oil?
Or is there a way to disconnect the alarm?
