I just joined and I have a problem I'm hoping someone can help me with. I have a 1986 Johnson 9.9 J10RLCD. I recently rebuilt the carb & rewind starter, changed fuel pump, plugs and wires. Started it up today and when it started it was running like it was at 1/2 or more speed and I couldn't get the throttle handle to slow it down, also the off button didn't stop it so I had to pull the plug wires to stop it. I looked it over and I am completely stumped as where to start to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.
