1986 90hp evinrude needs revs to start once warm and boggs out on acceleration?

Hi, my e90tlcdc needs to have the revs leaver on to start when the motor is warm,choking also help. Also last week if I didn't rev the motor for at least 30 seconds at idle before shifting into gear to accelerate the motor would bogg out and switch off ??? Can anyone please advise the problem to search for, is it the carbs??

PS, I've just redone the fuel line, primer bulb and inline filter.

First step is a compression test, always do that in trouble shooting a motor like that one.

Thanks for the info guys, would you expect low compression from these symptons??

All 4 should be the same.-------These motors suffer from broken piston rings.---------See that all the time.
