Have a 1984 140 HP Johnson, last of the great Crossflows. Noticed when running the motor on earmuffs discharge hole wasn't flowing with the usual strong stream. Changed the complete impeller assembly however the flow remains weak, improving slightly when I bring up the idle. someone suggested the grommet up at the top of the water tube that is up near the power head may be old/cracked allowing water leakage. Does anyone have any thoughts or know if that is a common problem? Thank you.
