1984 Evinrude 30hp E30ECRR Battery Spec

I've been using a 550 CCA battery to start this outboard for years, which is overkill. When it's time to replace, I'd like to get the correct size and (I hope) save a little money. Or, could I swap in my old 550 CCA battery from my 5.7L V8 ski boat when it gives out, and use it for the outboard if it's testing say, 400 amps? Regardless, if anybody knows the correct spec for the outboard, I'd like to hear it.

A service manual that I grabbed at random says a minimum of 330 CCA. There's more to the issue than that, though. I'm sure you will hear other comments. For simplicity, just choose a Marine Starting battery. No need to get complicated.

I have a 1982 Evinrude 15" 25E. It starts in forward or reverse, but it has no neutral. How do you fix it? It's no fun in the locks!!
