I am having problems changing the two throttle cables on my 1984 merc 9.8 outboard. Has anyone ever changed the 2 cables pt8620. They some how wrap around the spool at end of shaft. Then a cover pt#77203 covers and holds them in place. Then the shaft has to go back into tiller handle. It is quite a puzzle.
Would sure apreciate any info on doing this. I don;t have a merc service manual. If some does I wonder if they could email a copy of the section dealing with this.
