I have a 1983 Johnson E70ELCTE 70hp. With the muffs on it starts and runs pretty well. I shut it off after warm and turn the ignition and it starts right up. I just replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, all the fuel and vacuum lines. I have done multiple starts at the house and it's running well.
I take it after starting in the yard and put it in the water at the boat launch. I tried this 3 times. I tried changing the battery. I cannot start it in the salt water. I do not understand. It does not make sense to me. What should I do next. Rebuild the carbeurators? I don't follow why it would start at the house, but not on the water.
After taking it out of the water and back to the house to start it, it started right up again at the house.
