1981 Johnson 25 power pack problem

Hey guys, I was only getting fire on 1 plug so I changed the power pack and then wasnt getting fire to either. Thought it might be a bad pack so I ordered another but I have the same situation. If I put the old one on, I still have spark on 1 plug but no spark with either new one. ?? What should I do now??

Reverse the coils and see if the loss of spark follows the coil swap. If it does, there's your sign...

All factory oem. Swapped wires before the coils and the problem stayed on the power pack side. ??

When you swapped the coils or wiring to the coils, did the spark move to the other cylinder?

Maybe you have a bad coil then.

Both coils fire, if you swap leads going to them

Think I might have found the problem. The black/yellow wire haf corroded at the plug and broke

Problem solved wire on the motor side was repaired and then found a wire on the new power pack that wasn't crimped securely. I'm back in business now
