1981 Evinrude 50hp Airbox

Can anyone tell me if this was originally equipped with an airbox? I ask because it has not had one since I owned it, and I can not find one online. Seems sketchy to not have something to prevent the carbs from sucking in junk. Thank you in advance, and Happy Friday!
 
Everyone that left the factory had the airbox and cover.----------Should be easy to find as they were common from year to year.------If in Canada-----evinrudeparts.ca-----Might offer help.
 
I wanted to thank you again. I was able to locate one on ebay and it will be here friday. I have owned the 13'4" whaler for about 10 years. Unfortunately it has been unused for the past 8 or so. Took it out yesterday and it did pretty good. I am going to be going through the carbs, and looking into the prop as I am pretty sure we can do better than 23 mph with just me (200LBS) a 50lb dog, and the bare essentials.
