I am desperate to get this motor to pee. I have replaced the water pump as well as the thermostat, wich needed to be replaced bad. Put it together and NO PEE. Even took the lower unit into a bucket with a drill and watched the tube from the water pump and saw very little water being pumped.

All the tubes are clear and should pump fine. This motor seems to run good except the water issues. What else might I do. Help it is my dads motor and I really want to get it running as a kicker for my bigger boat.

Cranked the unit with a drill..... certainly hope that drill wasn't a 110v model!

The water pump must be submerged in order to pump.... it is not a self priming pump. Simply having the water intake ports submerged is not sufficent!
