1979 Evinrude starter replacement

I have removed the bolts on the solenoid side but
I cannot get to the bolt on the side opposite of the solenoid as there is a black box in the way which has choke settings on it. I believe this is the carburetor silencer. Does anyone know how to remove this? Also, can anyone recommend a reasonable good shop manual?

??----Remove screws and remove front cover.----Then some more screws to give you room to work.----Nothing to it.

Get the Evinrude shop manual for your specific motor. Clymer's and Seloc are both very difficult to use and often miss important things.
