1978 starcraft 14 0mc long block crank

my engine make noise when running sounds like there's rocks inside so i think its the crank. what should i do try finding a used engine and if so does anyone know where i can find one or should i get it rebuild im kinda on a budget ?

Rebuilding is always far more expensive than buying reconditioned. Usually the core (your old lump) has some trade-in value. Look on line there are several places that offer this service. I guesstimate that you're looking at about 1500 for a new engine. It should come with a warranty, too.

Wait is this an outboard engine? Yeh um forget what I just wrote. Go find another engine on craigslist
