1973 Slick Kraft OMC stern Drive

Need Help Please...Small block chevy motor developed a water leak in intake manifold. Pulled it off and replaced the gaskets. Now that everything is back on, engine cranks really slow (won't Start). Batteries were older so I replaced them both as well as the plugs. Checked all wiring, everything seems to be tight with no cracks or splits.

Only tried it with #1plug to make sure there was spark. There was. Why ? I never heard of that. What would that determine?

Have you checked out the starter motor ??
