1973 Johnson 85 Hp V-4 Outboard

I am now the owner of a 1973 85 hp johnson V-4 outboard, It has been many years since i have owned an outboard motor. Can anyone help refresh my memory as to what is the oil to gas mix ratio? The last outboard i owned was a merc. and it was 50:1
Also what type of gear oil should go in this gearcase.:eek:

Mixture is 50/1.

The 1973 85hp (all the high hp Evin/John models for that matter) have what is called a "Shift Assist" type lower unit that incorporates a oil pump. This fact necessitates that the gearcase must use "Premium Blend", also known as "Type C" gearcase lube...... available at your dealership and I believe Sierra, perhaps other places that I'm not aware of.
