How do you set low speed needle valve?

First make sure the thermostat is in place and not stuck open.-----With motor idling in gear.-----Turn it in SLOWLY.----Motor will tell you if you have gone too far.------Turn it back out till sneezing stops.

That's no where near the needle valve

1.5 turns out from lightly seated. Now go check your thermostat

???----But if the thermostat is missing or stuck open your motor will not idle as well as it can..----No need to jump all over top notch advice.----I step aside here.

Well----Dummy me that I missed the " request for turns out " in post #1----Post #2 explains how to get these wonderful motors to the best idle possible !!

I'm baffled. New points,new condensors, rebuilt and boiled carb, new fuel pump,new thermostat, very good spark, very good compression.
I can't even get a good pop to get her started .
What am i missing?
