hey so I took my 67 6 hp fisherman apart and wanted to double check. How many needles make up the bearing on the rod to crankshaft. Thanks for any help

I think you will find there are 30 of them.----I usually count them about 4 times or more.-----When put in package.----Before cleaning .----After cleaning.----When put onto the liners with needle bearing assembly grease.

Could anyone tell me what is the thickness of the piston rings on a 67 evinrude 6 hp fisherman bore is 1.937. Just would like to see how wore down my old ones are before I order new ones.

Also what would be "like new" compression. I was at about 60 psi in each cylinder which I know is low. What should I be aiming for in the compression?

Have not seen actual number published by the company.
I have a ‘75 Evinrude 6hp.
On a reliable gauge it shows 110/100. That was cold, sitting in garage since last season. I also forgot to open the choke, it was full on, which would restrict air intake.
Try your gauge on a weed eater, chainsaw, snowblower etc. or a different gauge.
If you get consistently low readings, your gauge is off.
