1961 Chrysler 45hp not starting

My boat is not starting, we just replaced the fuel gaskets and diapram, it seems that there is a gas problem, does any body have any idea what might be the problem with my boat?

Fuel,air,and spark.These are the things you need to fire up your motor.Remove the spark plugs and check for a fuel odour.If there is fuel on your plugs,check for spark.If you have spark,check to see that the carb is clean and adjusted properly.Try turning the idle adjustment screw in till it seats,then turn it out one and a half turns.This should get you in the ballpark.Check to see if your ground connections are clean.The ignition system needs a good ground to work properly.Good luck.
