1988 Evinrude 150XP E150STLCCA
When I torque the water pump housing down to the specified 7-9 Nm the rear of the housing is not flat on the SS base plate. You can see the irregular shaped O ring between the plastic housing and the SS base plate. When I remove the housing the O ring is still set in the groove on the plastic housing. I can’t believe this is correct but can not figure out why. Any help would really be appreciated.
