My 10 hp Johnson QD-24B kicks out of forward gear buy has reverse. Any information on a fix.

Could be a bad / slipping propeller.-----Remove the oval plate on the side of the exhaust housing.----See if the 2 screws on the connecter are lined up with notches in shift rod.-----Check gear oil.------Could be that clutch dog and forward gear are worn.

Some like to argue , but it should not be difficult to see where the issue is.-----Might even be an adjustment at the shift lever.----And those lower units are easy to take apart and inspect.-----No special tools required.
