'01 Mercury 25 EH won't start now

Hello I have just recently bought a mercury 25 and it ran great the first time out but developed a loss of prime issue. I found that the line connection on the primer bulb was leaking and fixed it. Now the motor will not start. It had zero issue starting before , it would just run out of fuel in the carb. What do I do?

Everything is correct. Nothing was changed except cutting the line back and re clamping it on the bulb. It will build prime and fuel gets to the carb but nothing. Motor was running literally 15 minutes prior to me fixing the leaky connection
 
Need to add that this morning I sprayed fuel in the throat and it fired of with the first push of the button. Goimg to tear the carb off but don't know what to look for being wrong
