I recently had my PDS bearing go out. I replaced it as well as the associated seals and other necessary components. The thread can be found here, http://www.marineengine.com/boat-forum/showthread.php?t=378669.
Now its time to put everything back together. According to the diagram a seal goes first, then the PDS (with the bearing and small snap ring attached), followed by a large snap ring, then another and finally another seal.
I would like to know if there any tips or tricks to get everything to go smoothly. Also, what should be greased and in what order?
p.s. Thanks to all who helped me get the darn thing out and encourage me to not let the dealer do it, at great expense I might add. A special thanks to RicardoMarine for his countless step by step instructions and diagrams.
