" I had a impeller go out on my (og112002)25hp merc and it got a little hot. I have replaced the whole water pump,head gasket,exhaust box gaskets,theromstat,and gasket just under the head. The engine will start just fine and sounds normal. My problem is that a lot of water is coming out between the lower unit and the mid section of the motor. With the new thermostat in I get no pressure out of the thermostat. When I take it out I get normal flow. I have made sure the copper pipe is landed in the plastic fitting. I have connected the lower unit to the garden hose with it off the motor and the pump does not leak. Did I damage somthing else to cause the water to leak out of the head? "
