I have a 1998 evenrude 150hp

I have a 1998 evenrude 150hp motor with FICT system that has less than 50hrs. Was running down river and lost power (probably SLOW system). Started and ran for another 100 yds and lost power again. Tried to restart and wouldn't. Could turn probe back full cycle then it stopped. Then could turn forward full cycle. Stopped. Pulled top of head off and cyclinders not scored. Is it worth rebuilding? Have heard of a lot of problems with the 98 FICT systems.
 
By the way what is the motor

By the way what is the motor worth if I decide to put a new motor on? I didn't hear any clanks or anything when it stopped and it is in mint condition (aside of the fact it won't start)
 
Check the gearcase.. Be caref

Check the gearcase.. Be careful when removing drain plug ... may have extreme pressure build up wrap a rag around screwdriver and hold on
