Replacement Oil Pan

I have a 1972 Bell Boy with the OMC 120 4 cylinder that is in need of a new oil pan. The few that I've found are really expensive. Would one from a car engine work? I can get one from a wrecking yard off of a Vega for 20.00 vs 100+ from ebay.
Thanks

Nope,..... The 120 hp(2.5l), 'n 140 hp(3.0l) motors were never used in cars,.....

The GM 2.5l used in cars is a very different motor,.....

Bondo may not save the OP any money but isn't the merc/omc the same block used as the base engine (153 cu in) in the Chevy II (later became nova) fromlike 1962-66 or 67? Since then upgraded to the 181/3.0 size and relegated to an industrial only engine?

Ayuh,..... Merc, OMC, 'n Volvo have all used the Chevy motor, yes,......

The 2.5l used in autos os a Pontiac based motor,....
