HP 6BT oil change

Just a quick question picking up a new boat with HP 6BT engines what is normal intervals for an oil change for this engines?

Unless you are putting on more than 300 hours per year, once every 12 months will do it. I live in cold weather and all the advice I have been given is to change the oil right before it goes into storage at the end of the season.

That would be the correct thing to do. You have been given good advice. Used engine oil is caustic.
