BF225 2005-lots of whitesmoke or steam

I have twin 2005 BF225 engines with 500 hours on them. My port engine has exessive amounts of what seems to be steam mixed with exhust coming from the exust ports on the back lower cowling. It still is running fine as far as I can tell.

The tell tale water isn't pissing with regular pressure eithier. I have no overheat alarms at this point. I replaced the t-stats at the begining of the season and have put in a new impeller today. Nothing has changed.

Do you think its a leaky head gasket? Is there anyway to find out? Any ideas would be really helpfull.

Thanks

You might try to remove the lower unit again ( check for missing impeller parts...if there were any missing). Pull the thermostats again and backflush the motor from the thermostats. Notice any difference in the flow. Also, flush from the thermostat housing forward through the system and notice any difference between the two sides.

You may have some build up or debris somewhere in the system. It is also possible that you have corrosion built up that may not be able to be flushed out. You may have to locate it to clear it.

Thanks for the input Mike. So, it turns out I had my starboard engine tstats where stuck open and it was running cold and therfore not exhusting like the port side was. I was so sure that it was my port side with something wrong, I never thought to check the other engine.
