1989 suzuki 8 prop problem

while coming in giving it the

while coming in giving it the gas the propeler would slip. when i got out of the water i put it in gear and turn the prop with my hand it would start to turn the motor but then let go.help me if you can. whats my problem?

" It sounds like a spun hub on the propeller. If you have a spare or can borrow one to try you will know. I have had several re-hubbed and don't recall it being too costly.
