I have a 84 mariner 75 horse

I have a 84 mariner 75 horse outboard. It is only got the number 4 cyl firing. I dont know much about the wiring i just got it this past summer. Non of the wires are burnt as far as i see i need help please.

I have ordered a book for it

I have ordered a book for it and i am waiting to receive it. Last time i took the boat out it would run great idle and when i would push into gear and throttle up it would die every time this year i havent got it to crank yet.
