" I have gaot a bunch of sand in my lower unit. I tried to pull the unit off, but I must be missing a bolt somewhere. It opens about 2 inches and then won't come down anymore. It is a 97' 75 hp force. I also wanted to know if there is a seal that is supposed to go in the opening to the lower unit. I had some work done on it before and the people that did it obviously missed a few things. "
 
If the lower unit has come do

If the lower unit has come down 2 inches it sounds like you need to disconnect your shift shaft.
