need to know which cylynder is #1 engine is installed is #1 back by flywheel or byalternator &other accesories which direction do i look at engine THANKS

If you are standing with the flywheel towards you it will be on the opposite end(water pump end) on your left.Do not for get that there is two different firing orders Standard(automotive)and reverse rotation.

"If you carefully look at any engine from the top, you will realize that 1 cylinder on the front of the engine is further forward than the other side. The furthest forward is the #1 cyl.
Firing order for std. rotation - 18436572
reverse rotation is 12756348.
