what i have is an electrical

what i have is an electrical problem i think
power is getting from battery to starter and to solenoid when i turn the key to crank it over my volt meter goes to zero and nothing happens both of my batteries are brand new and holding their voltage the other engine will crank right up and run with no problem. does anyone have any ideas?

"Jason.... You, in all probability have a loose or tight but dirty connection somewhere. This causes a voltage drop. Remove and clean all of the cable connections at the battery and also at the engine.

You can trace a volt

You can trace a voltage drop with a volt meter while trying to start. If you have at least 10 volts right at the starter there can be an internal problem in the starter. The brush area can be contaminated with graphite dust (conductive and will give a short), or the brushes worn down. Disassemble and find out.
