What is a reasonable asking price for a 1998 125 HP Mercury Offshore motor in excellent condition? Less than 200 hours on it.

save your cash and buy a v6 1

save your cash and buy a v6 135-200hp they are 10 times the engine if your boat can hold a v6... btw if your hull is rated for a 140 hp you can hang a merc 200 on it cause a 135 and a 200 weigh exactilly the same... 414 lbs for offshore carb model 452 for EFI 2.5 l
and 494 for 135-175 opti.

125 is lighter but it is also a 2+2 4 cylinder...not the best engine in the merc lineup.... in my opinion
