Give both engines at least 45 mins. idleing time...change the idle speed from slow to fast every 10 mins or so..after that, take boat out ang get up on plane,,note what the rpm's are and change the speed from 1/2 to 3/4 every 15 mins.this to prevent over heating until broken in well..do this for a couple of hours...Then go to full throttle for about 5 mins, and then back to 3/4 for awhile, and then back up again..Make sure that you are getting a good water flow, and you should break in just fine...another thing, when you come in for the day or any time you are going to shut down, let the engines idle until you feel that they should be cool enough..just a few mins. should be fine..Make sure that the engines are completely warm before running wide open..will save a lot of grief later!...TommyG "
