Blown 318 Chrysler revisited

" Having 1968 Chrysler 318, 21

" Having 1968 Chrysler 318, 210HP with 1100 hours rebuilt with short block because of thrown rod on port engine. Starboard engine still original with 1100 hrs also. Compression check on starborard is 130 lbs. consistent and runs strong. What are considerations for doing overhaul on starboard at this time, or can I successfully run one overhauled and one old until the starboard fails?

With 130 psi across all cylinders, no smoking or overheating, and normal fuel and oil consumption, it's a healthy engine. Give it a good tune-up when you tune the port engine, fresh oil and filters, and keep on truckin'!
