"Looking at this motor on ebay

"Looking at this motor on ebay, and it's a pretty good looking motor. I'm wondering if a fuel pump is possible to be put on this motor. I've seen/heard of older motors that have had fuel pumps put on them. Why is the old pressure tanks so bad where nobody wants to use them? Any input is welcome and is appreciated."

There is nothing wrong with the pressure tank concept! The later metal tanks will build up pressure as well when the hose is NOT attached and the cap is tight.It is easy to put a pump on the earlier motors and all you need is a newer bypass cover and pump. It is easier to do than to explain it.

"Thanks N-A-S, the thing about putting a pump on is that i could leave the tank i have in the boat. I'll have to look into what a bypass cover is, and give it some thought."
