Hi all quick question I run a

Hi all quick question I run a aq140a in a 21 foot fairly heavy boat and yes I know she is under engined but i never fitted the motor.AT 3800 rpm boat is on plane but with a bit more weight in boat i need to run her 4400 4500 rpm to keep nicely on the plane.Is it ok to run her at this rpm for long periods of time or am i reving her to hard.

I have a 21 footer, and can push mine to 5000 rpm, even though it isn't recommended, no probs. Gotta watch the overheating tho at this rpm.
4500 is cruising speed form what I can see."
 
Thanks Eric yes she does start

Thanks Eric yes she does start to warm up a little as I push the engine but this is what I would expect.The gauge on the standard Volvo dash just touches the red but dosent go any higher.If I shut down quick on the throttle thou she blows a bit of coolant out the header tank but i am getting better at slower down gradually then all is fine.
