I am in the process of purchas

I am in the process of purchasing new exhaust manifolds and risers for my 1964 CS280 Chevy 409. I have the opportunity to buy either cast iron or polished aluminum. Because of the age of the engine and availablility of the products which are in short supply is one better then the other? The price is relatively the same to the point where it really is not a factor. Either way I will have to do some replumbing. Is there anything that I need to consider? I have to do it either way. Thanks!

The 409 does not have the same

The 409 does not have the same bolt pattern on the head as a BB. The ports in the center are next to each other similar to the small block but there are 3 bolts. The end ports have the bolts at an angle.
